| The IRC Botserv Commands
Ever been in IRC and saw a user by the name of eeyoree? Then wondered why eeyoree never spoke? It's because eeyoree it what we like to call an IRC bot. An IRC bot is kind of like a babysitter. Having eeyoree in a channel that you own, will help you manage the channel from things like flooding, cursing, etc. This page will help you understand how to use the botserv commands. To use the commands, simply type them into the text box of the channel. (listed in alphabetical order) |
| act - /msg botserv act #channel action - Makes eeyoree do the equivalent of a /me command. It would look similar to this: *eeyoree thinks Bunni3 rocks
assign - /msg botserv assign #channel eeyoree - Assigns eeyoree to your channel. You must use this command before you can use any other command for botserv. badwords - /msg botserv badwords #channel add word [single|start|end] - Adds a word to the bad words list. This command MUST be used in conjunction with the botserv kick command. If single is specified, a kick will be done only if the user says the entire bad word. If start is specified, a kick will be done if the user says a word that starts with the bad word. If end is specified, a kick will be done is the user says a word that ends with the bad word. If you do not specify anything, a kick will be done everytime the bad word is said by the user. badwords cont' - /msg botserv badwords #channel del word - Deletes a word from the bad words list. badwords cont' - /msg botserv badwords #channel list - Displays all words on the bad words list. badwords cont' - /msg botserv badwords #channel clear - Will clear the entire list of words on the bad words list. say - /msg botserv say #channel text - Makes eeyoree do the equivalent of a user typing something in a channel. It would look similar to this: eeyoree says, I think Bunni3 rocks. unassign - /msg botserv unassign #channel - Unassigns eeyoree from your channel. |

| kick - /msg botserv kick #channel [option] [parameters] - Kick allows you to have preset options for automatic kicking in your channel. Below are all [option]s available to use with the kick command, and their [parameter]s.
kick badwords - /msg botserv kick #channel badwords on|off ttb - Kick badwords command will kick any user who says a word on the bad words list. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick badwords command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for saying the bad words on the list. kick caps - /msg botserv kick #channel caps on|off ttb min percent - Kick caps command will kick any user who uses caps in a manner you specify should not be used. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick caps command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for using the caps. min is the number of characters in a text line for eeyoree to kick. percent is the percent of caps in the text line for eeyoree to kick. If no min or percent is given, botserv will set a default of 10 characters and 25%. kick colors - /msg botserv kick #channel colors on|off ttb - Kick caps command will kick any user who uses color fonts. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick colors command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for using color fonts. kick flood - /msg botserv kick #channel flood on|off ttb ln secs - Kick flood command will kick any user who floods. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick flood command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for flooding. ln is how many text lines the user says in the amount of secs you choose. If no ln or secs is given, botserv will set a deafult of 6 lines in 10 seconds. kick repeat - /msg botserv kick #channel repeat on|off ttb num - Kick repeat command will kick any user who repeats the same text lines. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick repeat command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for repeating themselves. num is the amount of repeated text lines the user can say before botserv will kick them for repeating. If no num is given, botserv will set a default of 3 text lines. kick underlines - /msg botserv kick #channel underlines on|off ttb - Kick underlines command will kick any user who uses underlines in their fonts. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the kick underlines command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. ttb is the number of times the user will be kicked before they get banned. You can place any number for ttb. If you leave the ttb blank, no users will be banned for this command. However they will still be kicked for repeating themselves. |

| set dontkickops - /msg botserv set #channel dontkickops on|off - Set dontkickops command allows OP protection on a channel. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the set dontkickops command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. When turned on, OPs of the channel will not be kicked by eeyoree.
set dontkickvoices - /msg botserv set #channel dontkickvoices on|off - Set dontkickvoices command allows voice protection on a channel. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the set dontkickvoices command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. When turned on, users with voice will not be kicked by eeyoree. set greet - /msg botserv set #channel greet on|off - Set greet command will tell eeyoree to display a greet to users as they join your channel. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the set greet command on or off. You must select one of the two for the command to work. set symbiosis - /msg botserv set #channel symbiosis on|off - Set symbiosis command will make eeyoree function as chanserv. on|off will tell botserv whether you want to turn the set symbiosis command on or off.
